Luis F. Pieretti, PhD, CIH, CSP, COHC

Dr. Luis F. Pieretti has a bachelor’s degree in biology from the Inter American University of Puerto Rico, a master’s degree in industrial hygiene from the Medical Science Campus at University of Puerto Rico, and a doctoral degree in industrial hygiene from the University of South Florida. He is a member of the American Conference of Governmental Industrial Hygienists, American Industrial Hygiene Association, American Society of Safety Professionals, National Hearing Conservation Association and the Product Stewardship Society. Dr. Pieretti has over 15 years of work experience in the occupational health and safety field within the public and private sectors.Dr. Pieretti is a Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH), Certified Safety Professional (CSP), Certified Occupational Hearing Conservationist (COHC), AIHA Registered Specialist: Exposure Decision Analysis (EDA) and was appointed to the Board of Scientific Counselors for the CDC’s National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (2022-2025). He is an associate professor at the College of Public Health, University of South Florida where he teaches graduate level courses in occupational health and safety.
